Genan consolidates in a year impacted by Coronavirus
International environmental company Genan was in 2020 less impacted by the Corona crisis than expected. Turnover dropped marginally by 6% to EUR 49m, while EBITDA decreased by 2% to just under EUR 12m. Nevertheless, thanks to significantly increasing market focus on sustainability, the Genan group is generally performing well – and now adding a resource in sales and marketing.
Genan Holding strengthens the board with a strong sustainability profile
Danish environmental company Genan now strengthens its board of directors with a strong sustainability profile. Joining as new board member is Eva Jensen, Head of Climate, Energy and Transport in the European Environment Agency (EEA).
2019 was a good year for the Genan Group, and the annual report shows progress on all parameters. Turnover has improved by 14% to record high EUR 52m, and the result for the year has increased to more than EUR 6.1m.
Genan Holding A/S and Portuguese provider of transport and construction equipment solutions, NORS, S.A. have signed a definite agreement for Genan to acquire NORS subsidiary Biosafe – Indústria de Reciclagens, S.A., operator of the largest tyre recycling plant in Portugal. The closing of this transaction is projected to take place at the end of April 2019, after which Genan will count a total of six tyre recycling plants worldwide.
