Home Turnkey Technology Reception and shredding
When the Genan collectors arrive, the tyre quantities first have to be weighed and registered in order for the right settlement to take place. The tyres to be processed are unloaded into a huge tyre pit.
Automatic cranes above the tyre pit ensure that the tyres are removed continuously from the part of the pit closest to the gates. The cranes also feed the assembly lines with tyres for the shredders.
The shredders cut the tyres into big pieces, also called chips of 25-50 cm.
All sizes of tyres can be processed as they are, from passenger car tyres to tractor tyres. No tyre has to be debeaded, and the big tyres do not have to be coarsely cut first. This is a unique feature of the Genan concept, which saves major operating costs in the long run.
During the first step of the process, the tyres are rinsed with water, which is reused in an optimal environmentally friendly re-circulating system after the impurities like sand, stones and mud have settled.
