No comparison with earlier rubber asphalts

Rubber in asphalt is not new and has been tried out previously with mixed success. However, the characteristics that Road+ achieves are no comparison to those of earlier generations of rubber asphalt. The addition of VESTENAMER® in compliance with the Evonik patent makes the whole difference.

Earlier generations of rubber asphalt also required special equipment and proved to be sticky. Road+ modified asphalt has an extremely good adhesion to the aggregate but does not stick to the equipment. Tanks and trucks do not have to be cleaned with release agents. No special equipment is needed in order to work with Road+ modified asphalt in the field.

Wider temperature window for compaction

Road+ modified asphalt can be applied at a wider temperature range compared to traditional and modified asphalt. This is not only an advantage in the case of compaction but also when doing the hand work, e.g. around driveways and on curves.
