Genan's vision is two-fold. We want all scrap tyres to be recycled in the environmentally and economically most beneficial way. For us, the environment and the economy go hand in hand.
 

It is easy to ask society to pay a high price in order to help the environment. It takes, on the other hand, hard work to create solutions that are both environmentally and economically beneficial. By recycling instead of incinerating the scrap tyres, we do not only save emission of greenhouse gases, fossil fuels and acidification of the atmosphere. We also offer a solution that from a socio-economic point of view saves tax payers and companies for considerable costs.

In all aspects of the Genan plant technology and product applications, environment is in focus.

The tyre washing system in the plants is based on re-circulation and use of rainwater wherever possible.

Finished products are regularly tested for pollutants and impurities.
 

In the field, Genan product applications are tested for e.g. potential leaching problems in artificial turf, emissions with respect to asphalt work and migration.

But most important of all: comprehensive life cycle assessment (LCA) studies show beyond any doubt that recycling is significantly more environmentally beneficial than incineration in all impact categories researched.
